Just a short stroll from the bay, past a creek and down a winding country road in the peaceful Long Island village of Westhampton, is the Campbell House Bed and Breakfast. Built in 1898 by a local bayman, Campbell House was acquired in 1947 and slowly transformed from a simple cottage into the charming retreat that it is today.
Campbell House takes on a distinctive island flavor, suggestive of Caribbean and Mediterranean resorts. There are flowers, antiques and paintings at every turn. Sun pours in through expanses of glass.
Outside, a meandering garden is testament to Jeanne Campbell's lifetime devotion to gardening. When weather permits (and it usually does), guests are invited to dine in the peaceful patio area. You will be greeted by a rainbow of colorful flowers, presided over by a majestic pear tree. Relax to the trickle of water from Campbell Houses's cheerful Italian stone fountain.
